What is the best pregnancy work out?

November 10, 2008

I am in my first trimester and feeling quite nauseas right now, but I do plan on doing some sort of mild exercise as soon as I can tolerate it. I'm not very athletic and right now I just feel like a big slug. I just want to do something to tone me a little and get my endorphins going to help lift my mood. In the past I have done walking on my treadmill, Tae Bo, yoga, and light weight training. I was thinking of getting a pregnancy yoga DVD, but I don't know which ones are best. Any ideas?

First make sure you ask your doc if you can. Your cervix may be too thin to tolerate you working out, even if it's not heavy. Yoga is good, not too strenuous. Any kind of light lifting and cardio is good. If you want to use a dvd, they have ones that will actually ease your labor and help you get back in shape after the baby. Good luck!

    Walking and Yoga.

With my first pregnancy, all I did was walk. I walked for about an hour every day. My baby weight came off soooo quick!

I hear Yoga does wonders too.
